Nazir Ahmed
Lord Ahmed was educated at Spurley Hey Comprehensive School, Thomas Rotherham College, and Sheffield Hallam University. In 1974, he married Sakina Bibi, and together they now have three children.
Lord Ahmed is a member of USDAW and the Metropolitan Borough Council Trades Unions. His career accomplishments include being a Company director, as well as a Business development manager for Kilnhurst Business Park.
Lord Ahmed is a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights Commission, has previously served as Chair for the South Yorkshire Labour Party and as Vice-Chair of the South Yorkshire Euro-constituency Party.
