Taiwo Owatemi MP (Labour)
Taiwo Owatemi is the Labour MP for Coventry North West. She was elected in the December 2019 General Election receiving 20,918 votes, equalling a majority of 43.8%.
Taiwo grew up in Plumstead but has family links to Coventry via her aunt and cousins. Taiwo secured internship in the Houses of Parliament via a Social Mobility Foundation scheme. She earned a Masters degree in the University of Kent and became a Senior Oncology Pharmacist, specialising in cancer and palliative care.
