Mayor of London backs OBV’s new EU poster

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has come out to applaud OBV’s latest poster campaign that urges the UK’s Black and minority ethnic communities to vote on the 23rd June.

In a statement issued from the Mayor’s office Khan said:

This is the OBV that I have worked closely with over many years. They are doing what they do best, by encouraging higher voter turnout from under-represented communities.”

OBV have recreated the infamous 1987 Bullingdon club picture that originally featured the Prime Minister David Cameron and former Mayor of London Boris Johnson to illustrate that this most important referendum is not for the few and particularly not only for the privileged, but for everyone.

OBV want to urge BME communities to discuss and debate the big issues in this referendum such as equality, prosperity and immigration. Above all the organisation is urging a record turnout to vote on the 23rd.
