Rally for Yvonne Mosquito

The Voice reports today that a rally was held for Labour's Yvonne Mosquito, who was unceremoniously dumped as Deputy having served her purpose of garnering the Black Vote for the Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) David Jamieson during the PCC elections of 2014.

The reason given for her sacking was that she interfered in a ongoing case by providing counsel to a 14 year old crime victim's family in her non-official role as a pastor. A devout Christian, Mosquito argued that this was not a conflict of interest, but concurrent with her religious duties and responsibilities.

The March was organised and led by long-time resident and West Midlands community activist Maxie Hayles, and supported by Conservative councillors Andrew Hardie and Peter Douglas-Osborn.
