Ben Foday, Plaid Cymru for Cardiff South and Penarth

Ben was born and educated in Sierra Leone, but has lived in the Welsh capital for more than 30 years, and works for an employment agency.

A well-known local campaigner, Ben’s political interests include social justice and economic development.

Ben served as a Labour councillor for 6 years until 1999, but then defected to Plaid Cymru and is running for the seat of Cardiff South and Penarth.

Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, Conservative for Ochil and South Perthshire

Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, OBE is a Scottish actress, solicitor. She joined the Conservative party as a teenager, but left in 2000 after anti-immigrant rhetoric from the then leader of the Conservatives William Hague. In defected to the Scottish National Party

She is a partner at the Glasgow law firm Hamilton Burns, specialising in commercial conveyancing and private client work, often with a family law or immigration element

Politics is in Tasmina's DNA, with her father having been elected first ever Scottish politician as a councillor in 1986. She has stood for both the Scottish and European Parliament, and is the SNP parliamentary candidate for the Ochil and South Perthshire constituency.

Rashid Nix, Green candidate for Dulwich and West Norwood

In 2012 he produced the documentary: Why don't black people vote set? Rashid coaches young people for Landmark Education. Many think the soul of the Labour Party now resides in the Green Party, and in Rashid it has a candidate of great strength, passion and ability, qualities the voters of this leafy suburb will, hopefully, recognise and support.

Rashid stood as The Green Party councillor candidate for Coldharbour Ward, Lambeth, in May 2014, and is standing in the Dulwich and West Norwood seat.
