Eddie Nestor: Marathon man
Actor, comedian, radio host, and champion for the Black community, Eddie Nestor will fulfill a lifetime dream when he runs in the world's most famous marathon this Sunday - the London Marathon.
Fun loving Nestor began his preparation some five years ago but was forced to abandon his plans because he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma – a type of cancer that affects cells in the lymphatic system.
But after receiving treatment that put his cancer in remission, the irrepressible Nester is back to fulfill his life long ambition. At the same time Nestor will attempt to raise over £20k for his chosen charity - the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust.
Anybody who knows Eddie will be acutely aware that over many years he has used his position and platforms to support others particularly those fighting for social and racial justice.
It’s time, therefore, we gave to the quite, but strong man of radio, our full support.
Here’s how you can support Eddie:
or by texting “ACLT EDDIE” to 70300 to donate £3.
Good luck, man. I’m sure the whole of London is with you.
