AV: Young Voters Question Time - air your views

If you are young or youngish and would like to state your case for or against AV, your chance has come - join Richard Bacon for a BBC 3 AV special.

­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­BBC3 are producing a one-off special programme - Young Voters Question Time AV Special - about the UK referendum on the voting system, and they are inviting students to get involved as part of the audience and ask questions in the debate.

On Thursday 5 May, Britain decides whether to change the way MPs are elected to parliament, from the First Past The Post voting system to the Alternative Vote, in which voters can place election candidates in order of preference. This will be the second referendum to be held in UK history.

On May 3, a studio audience made up of, more than 150 young voters, many who will be going to the polls for the first time, will be able to question the panel ofsenior politicians from the 3 main parties, and chaired by Richard Bacon.

If you are a teacher and would like to take a group of students to participate in the TV debate or if you are an interested young person between 16 and 26 and would like to a chance to voice your opinion on the AV system then please get in touch with Alison Fuller on 01299 829299 or email alisonfuller21@btinternet.comas soon as possible.
