BNP could be fined and assets seized

The EHRC (Equality and Human Rights Commission) could demand that a substantial fine is levied against the racist BNP (British National Party) and their assets seized if far- right group lose the legal action against them to scrap their ‘whites only’ membership policy.

The BNP was hauled to court by the EHCR who instructed leader Nick Griffin that BNP party policy must comply with race relations rules.

The 'race hate'  party earlier this year amended itspolicy to allow non-white membership to those who would signup to principles that included a duty to oppose the promotion of any form of "integration or assimilation" that impacted on the "indigenous British", and a requirement to support the "maintenance and existence of the unity and integrity of the indigenous British".

The High Court hearing ended  today - Tuesday- but judgment has been reserved and the outcome of the legal battle will not be decided for at least a week.

In the meantime  the  group continues to organise and operate as a political party carrying out organised campaigns that seek to divide communities. 

They have derided Islam as "a wicked, vicious faith", called asylum seekers "cockroaches" and stated they would support any EU nation that 'sunk' boats full of Africans trying to land on European shores.
